Two episodes take place in the province of Belluno, in the extraordinary alpine setting. We cross a little valley, Val di Zoldo, tracing the history of wood art, beginning from the church erected by Michelucci in Longarone after the Vajont tragedy. The episodes take us across a part of the important Cadore valley, from Vigo, with its churches and extraordinary frescoes, to Auronzo, at the foot of the Cime di Lavaredo. A journey to a border land where different cultures (Venetian, German, Friulian) form a rich and surprising mixture, in a suggestive mountain setting, from the sacred woods of Antelao, from mount Pelmo to the imposing profile of mount Cristallo.
